chartpolski 28,403 Posted yesterday at 10:55 Report Share Posted yesterday at 10:55 I was just looking at Skoda Yeti 4x4 and was surprised how much they were for even 12-14 year old with high mileage , 120,000/130,000 ! A pal of mine owns a garage and runs two of them, a 2wd and a 4x4 and can’t fault them . Skoda’s must have improved Cheers.
Daniel cain 49,383 Posted yesterday at 11:00 Report Share Posted yesterday at 11:00 Something Japanese.....Small land cruiser ,like a Prada etc in 3 door,Toyota RAV4 XT4 pre 2.2 engine shape with the 2 L d4d engine or an old nissan X trail.2/3 k max..Rav and x trail both cheap for parts and pretty much bomb proof, land cruiser will last forever..if I could find a good one, with no rot...then I'd buy another fourtrak, hands down,my favourite and the best 4 X4 /dog bus I've owned send it anywhere ...I've had a R reg Hilux pick up,W reg 2.5 non turbo L200 double cab ,old 03 plate Ranger, wouldn't own another, money pits....same as the freelanders , discoveries, defenders..if I was gonna spend more than 5 k on something to cart the family about in,keep tidy, then I would probably look at getting, one of the later shogun warriors in 3.2 's...

I've had my x trail for around 6 or 7 years , and I've worked it pretty hard in that time. It's a brilliant all rounder . It drives like a car on the motorway and about town , and it's more than acceptable in the mud . It's got good ground clearance, without needing a step up to get in it . It's by far the best 4x4 I've ever had on fuel . It's got a 6ft(easily accessible) load space in the back , and it still drives fine with half a ton of hard-core in the back. All things considered, it's been by far the best car that I've ever owned. Mine is coming up on 190,000 miles. I keep thinking that I should get a new one, but it just keeps going. It's the best £1,400 I've ever spent in my life.
