When 52,000 came out of StJames Park on Saturday , it looked minuscule compared to the crowd in London.

Cheers.

This just came into my head, very possibly a senile musing.

About 40 years back a mate of mine hooked a salmon well over 40 lbs. It snapped his rod and then his line . I still get an adrenalin rush whenever I get a flashback to it.

The next day he caught a 28 pounder. But he said himself it was a tiddler in comparison.

That event was defnitely a 40 odd pounder.

Let's hope our political masters have been frightened by it.

Insane crowds I’ve never known anything like it absolute madness I was up near the stages and it got a bit worrying at one point it was so rammed.

In the middle of it, thousands and thousands of us here

Mate,i wish I had seen your message earlier i would have met you,i enjoyed your company last time.I am sitting somewhere munching on olives far above the crowd with the best view of the stage.

I had a rooftop position, an awesome view,a real perspective, way more than 110k

There was 300,000 lined the streets of Newcastle for the Cup Parade, it was absolutely nowhere near the numbers in London.

Cheers.

I’ve never been involved in anything as big as yesterday you had to be there to grasp the enormity of the crowds, at times it was extremely claustrophobic and you had to try and position yourself where you weren’t going to be trampled if it all went wrong.

I checked many of the papers yesterday. They all quoted 110,000. The police figures.

Just shows how reliable the media is.

I know the left have to play it down, but you would think a more credible figure might have been used.

Crowds like that would be hell for me. For a start I'd have to take a large bottle to pee in every few hours.

Knowing my luck I'd get done for indecent exposure.

Tbf, papers like The Daily Mail, The Telegraph and Murdoch's Sky went with that police estimate.

The Police are only the agents of government after all.

Interesting, can I ask mate, is that a hope or something you believe is an actual reality ?……as in, does it achieve anything to put us in a better place in any meaningful way ?

(Don’t  mean to sound a sarky c**t because that’s not how I mean it 👍

Both mate.

This is global news now. I've just had my Chinese mate show me videos of yesterday in London in Mandarin. The reality is, it has to happen, how that transpires is another question.

No, I don't think it will make a difference. The filth at the top will always want to feed us crumbs, but I suppose it makes for a good smokescreen.

Very rare but I agree with you ;)

Credible in that Farage and Reform arent straying too far to the right,( or left), that will alienate the “centre ground voters”. too much.

It’s an absolute fact that you can’t win a General Election without taking the “ centre ground voters “ with you.
This is why Labour are accusing Farage of going “far right” and the Tories are accusing Farage of tacking to the left !

As for Reform becoming the “Tory party”, it does concern me , but I see they are cherry picking who they will take from the Tories, they have refused to accept Suella Braverman, and her husband who had joined Reform has now left.

Its disingenuous to think a party with just four or five MP’s could win a GE and get 400-450 new MP’s with absolutely no experience, so taking in a few, well experienced ex Tories who have the same views as Reform makes sense to me, BUT they have to be ruthless with their selection process.

As usual, just my personal views and opinions.

Cheers.

So for clarity, credible is about how they look rather than a policy you or I can look at and say “yeah, that sounds like it has a grasp of the situation and a logical plan that could impact that situation” ?

A new British Bill of Rights ?

Cheers.

Or Magna Carta and a repeal of all the laws Blair put in place and in some cases a reinstatement of some he did away with ?

Going on the premise that outright war is the only solution ?.  I think we might already be there and to be honest a war or an asteroid is probably the only solution now.

Bingo !……because it seems no party in the running even wants to talk about the sheer scale of the catastrophe we are in !
