Niagara falls is actually three separate falls, the one you see in the tourist pics is horseshoe falls which is spectacular, well worth a visit

WILF 51,554
I sat and watched the budget yesterday, more for the fact it’s better than any horror movie. Insane people spewing out more insanity and pretending that fixes the insanity you’ve already got ! The thing that really struck me is how they all, on every side, had a jolly good laugh and joke as they destroyed peoples lives even more…..I thought that was disgusting, absolutely disgusting ! So, should the title of this thread be changed to “Who wants to stay in Britain ?” …….because why would you ? Where are people meant to drag this money from ?……more state, bigger government, more draconian control of ordinary people……then to cap it off, a suggestion that we scrap trial by jury ? At what point do people go “f**k this, this ain’t healthy !” ?

This is where these budgets are very clever in essence it had no impact on me or the wife but indirectly it will have a big effect. I bet a large percentage of the population didn't even know there was a budget yesterday and the remainder looked at it and go ah well my house isn't worth 2mill, no electric car, got no kids, never going to have 20k of savings etc the drip drip policies of all government to take a bit from here and there don't in essence hit people directly but indirectly they cripple the economy and people haven't woken up to that fact. Wait until the economy crashes completely bank accounts frozen bread £5 a loaf and a £10 for a pint of milk that's when all these "don't effect me" brigade will kick off.

The vast majority of people have absolutely no notion of just how much shit they are in at every level mate…..financially, democratically, freedom wise, culturally, socially…..it’s f***ing bad like.

Think most dictators have abolished jury’s including hitler who aligns with tony Blair more than any other modern leader since and as Blair is starmers puppet master it’s all moving nicely along,, I think I heard road tax to be abolished as well replaced with pay per mile some will be happy some sad but how do they record your miles? With a black box on your car by any chance ??

With a black box on your car by any chance ?? Black box or recorded at MOT mate is what I read. What nobody on the tele ever mentions with all these things is that every new idea (tax or charge…it’s the same thing), every new “crack down” requires an new army of pointy heads employed by the government….so half of what it raises is gone on paying and housing them ! …..then it just becomes yet another self fuelling thing to get paid for by ordinary people…..it never gos away, it just gets more expensive ! If Reform don’t get it right and fast then the jobs really will be f****d….personally I don’t think this ends well anyway, there’s going to be blood and disaster.
chartpolski 28,734
From what I can make of it is road tax stays and will increase with inflation, the fuel duty freeze is cancelled and the 5 p per litre the Tory’s took off will be put back on and fuel will increase with inflation aswell irrespective of the price of oil, electric vehicles will be charged 3 p per mile and hybrids will be charged 1.5 p per mile, all to come into effect in September. I could be wrong, but that’s my understanding of it Cheers.
