The winter had faded, spring and summer began,No game should be chased, no hare should be ran.

Hares deserve peace, a long, hard-earned rest,Yet men start their boasting, each claiming they’re best.

Challenges thrown, matches struck and done, A long, sweltering summer baked dogs and men’s tongues.

The noise was the clamor of plans for attack,Preparing for fields where there’s no turning back.  The rivers ran dry, not a drop to be found,Now swelling with rain, they revive the ground.

Soon men will be trudging through mud and through slop,Their hearts pounding fierce, no will to stop.

The short, dark nights creep, silent and near,But whispers of doubt stir the first signs of fear.

Winter’s cold breath is closing in fast,Itchy feet pace, the die has been cast.

Not long till the chase, where the real men will stand,Facing those hard winter hares on the land.

No easy feat, this test of their steel,Where grit meets the frost and courage is real

There’s walkers and talkers, dreamers, believers,Men who talk bold and men who deliver.

Some spit brave words, some tread the wet mire,Their mettle laid bare by the hare’s fleeting fire.

When the season’s first pics are posted for all,The truth will be seen—who answered the call

All summer long on ThL, it’s bangers and mash,
Talkin’ trash, spittin’ tales, slingin’ brash.

While men chase bread under skies bone-dry,He’s resurrectin’ his old dog, givin’ life one more try.

He spins stories of glory, times long gone,
Of his hound’s prime days, when it ran till dawn.

But whispers fly—can that old mutt still strut?
Or’s it just hot air, a tale in a rut?

Accusations swirl ‘bout that dog’s return,
“Back from retirement!” he boasts, eyes burn.

Nikes laced, leash tight, bike’s dusted off,
They hit the track hard, but the dogs
 lookin’ soft.

Winter’s creepin’ close, no time for wet talk,
No playin’ big Bret, no struttin’ the walk.

The cold bites deep, excuses start to stack,
While other lads run, he’s holdin’ his dog back.

If that old hound could bark a tale or two,
It’d spill the truth on why its walks are few.

Bangers dreams big, but the leash stays slack,
His dog’s just yawnin’—ain’t no comin’ back.

Tell me about it. The fella has wet dreams about me on a night. Lol. He's another Greb that's why they click. Am believe it was more than a bottle of whisky he gave Scotty Greb. Unsettling behaviour.
