Never really seen a wheaten lurcher in action but heard they are the real deal.

But, come on, a good bull cross is a chainsaw on legs.

My uncles mate had a bull cross that went berserk when chucked in the motor and when I say berserk when he went lamping he used to throw it out on a hare or two just to try and settle it down, when it spotted something on the lamp it used to try and jump through the windscreen. Lol

Yeah pretty standard that, I’ve had a couple myself that used to get so wound up you had to take them out for a spin before they settled in .

The worst I’ve seen personally was owned by a young lad in our circle , we let my dog out on a hare and when we got back in it had pushed itself through the  mesh factory fitted dog Guard on my vans bulkhead. The dog also gave mouth like nothing else I’ve heard on its first run until it had settled but when it did it was a serious tool at its job ,

I stand by what I’ve said , all this secret squirrel omertà regarding wheaten crosses , they are just heavier bedlington crosses and I’m yet to see anything that makes them special compared to your average garden type bull grey

You couldn't hold the dog and if you tied it up it would do cart wheels, no good when it's a big half cross, lamp a couple of hares on the drive down to the land and it settled him down a bit lol. He was one of the nicest looking dogs you could wish to see, nearly shiny black with flashes of white, built to perfection and good on Charlie and the grunters.
