The only thing worse than summer hunters, is those that then glorify it on social media...

Taking a youngster, or a newly acquired animal out, to see how it shapes-up is one thing. Proudly displaying three or more dead hares infront of it on FB is another.

Lots of folk are moving  terriers and lurchers on,this time of the year...the old 'looking for a new postcode' all over the working dog pages... everyone wants a made dog these days,no good summer hunting,killing off 3/4 grown rabbits/cubs,leverets,fucks up your charges...they need a rest ,same way the quarry does...that's why we have seasons ....the way things are,I'm starting later and later each season...

I don’t personally know anyone using performance enhancing drugs on the whippets, but both the Ped and Non-ped governing bodies have drug testing procedures so I guess it must go on. I know some whippet and greyhound people use season suppressing methods , especially on six monthly bitches, otherwise they would nerve be race fit.

Summer hunting the forst season with a pup  I'm  not hunting 3s or slipping just letting the dog off and nature take its course hunting about even early season October ill run 2s that month
