Well, I must be the proudest grand dad in the world at the moment !

We got a call last night telling us our 10 year old grandson has had a trial for PSG , and he’s been accepted into their Academy in the Middle East for a 10 month intensive coaching course that could lead to a scholarship in Paris !

Very early days yet , but I’m as proud as Punch !

Cheers.

I said I a previous post that he is fluent in English and Arabic and was learning French.
I know there is a very VERY high attrition in trainee footballers, but he is a very focused young lad.

Early days, who knows, PSG might do all the hard work, then I get him to sign for Newcastle ! LOL !

Cheers.

Football is huge in Saudi. They are moving on from signing super star players at the end of their careers and now going for younger players with potential .

My grandson did a months course here with FA and UEFA coaches and they were pleased with him and he picked up player of the week award.

Who knows what will happen when he hits puberty ? LOL !

He may go in a completely different direction when girls come on the scene !
Cheers.

If he makes the grade he will be sending a private jet for his old granddad !
Long way to go mate, only a very VERY small percentage make the grade, but he’s got his foot on the first rung of the ladder.

Cheers.

Congratulations mate 🎉

A friend of a friend of mine has just found out his son has been accepted to Barcelona academy.

Both the lads will be rolling in Dinars/Euros in a few years ;)

Beers on them

Imagine how massive that would be, a Newcastle player with both Geordie and Saudi heritage? No matter what, already such an achievement for the lad to be part of the PSG machine.

I can dream , mate, but it’s my job to keep his feet firmly on the ground.

He will get all the support I can give but as I’ve said, there’s a very high attrition with young footballers.

Cheers.
