kanny 21,541
**Conclusion:** "The claim is likely based on a genuine leak of a DIA assessment, as reported by CNN and picked up by BBC News and others, but its reliability is questionable due to the “low confidence” rating, reliance on anonymous sources, and conflicting intelligence from Israel. The story’s prominence on X suggests it’s being amplified, but without the original document or broader corroboration, it should be treated as inconclusive. The source is primarily CNN’s reporting of the DIA leak, filtered through secondary outlets like BBC News and Yahoo News, with no direct access to the intelligence itself."

Mixed feelings on this. Yeah great we now have sub strategic nuclear options to counter the same. Plus the A variant will be generally handy for conventional deep strike. However, it’ll cost probably 2B to generate, introduces a third fast jet platform to maintain, could the typhoons not have delivered a credible alternative, and finally how does this impact tempest…

chartpolski 27,338
Just now, Franks dad said: Charts , why did they get rid of the harrier jump jet ? US Marine Corp still uses them but the likes of the F35 can be configured V-STOL, ( very short take of and landing), and VTOL, ( vertical take of and landing), and is a far superior and advanced aircraft than the Harrier. The Harrier just became outdated. Cheers.
