Born how did they manage to reach 25,000 mph is you can't do mach anything mate?

It’s a measurement of velocity that can be understood. Mach refers to the sound barrier which technically means you need air or some medium that can carry sound to break it. Mach 1 on earth would be a higher velocity than Mach 1 on Mars ;)

Edited; Doh! Not entirely correct lol thinner atmosphere means less energy input to reach Mach velocity.

Anyhow, it’s not evolution , but I’ve got a call duck to hatch a brood of Irish Gamefowl;  Well, it could be something to do with evolution, ducks and chickens probably have a common avian

It’s difficult to describe the Van Allen belt in layman’s terms, but it isn’t a uniform sphere surrounding the earth

Very, VERY basically, imagine a donut as the belt and a marble sitting in the hole, as the earth.

Im not an astrophysicist, so I can only go by what they tell us, but this may give an idea how a spacecraft can get past the Van Allen belt.

Cheers.

How can that be right if the earths flat charts ? lol

They put something out the back of the banger mate lol. Thrust ;)

If you have a can of Lynx, when you spray it it gives an opposing force that you are strong enough not to feel the effects of entirely but you can still feel a bit of pressure. Same thing in space would send you on a journey at a good few mph in the opposite direction. Now make that can 5000 times larger in capacity and you're going for a fuucking fast ride

Don't need to mate, scientific facts suit the truth not an agenda ;)

I don’t really keep these facts at the forefront of my memory believe it or not but the Saturn V was one big c**t of a rocket with about a million gallons of fuel.

That’s unimaginable. Couple that with accelerating through less and less dense atmosphere it’s really not that unbelievable. Get rid of the air resistance and it’s just not a big deal with just gravity to fight, which is a steady and consistent force, unlike the turbulence due to air.

Even at an acceleration of 3 g, which isn’t outrageous, you’d get to 25k mph in 22 mins (I think).

Just think off a 747 cargo aircraft , fully loaded, weighing almost 450 ton, the thrust required to get that in the air is minute compared to a Saturn V thrust.

SV India Uniform  an aircraft I worked on from new;

But I’m afraid we may be physically abusing a deceased equine, as we’ve been through this scenario many times in the past.

If someone won’t believe in the moon landings, that’s fine, it’s their opinion or belief, but I’m giving up trying to convince them !

Cheers.

I had to do a course today, the latest drive from HR that everyone needs to complete 1 training session per month. They don't understand that sometimes proper relevant courses are happening in order to retain professional competency or people are busy doing the job that keeps these HR and admin types employed. Anyway, this month's was Critical Thinking, I think, wasn't paying too much attention.

A big part of the course was arguing. I had not received any training in this before today other than the Monty Python sketch which is more us useful in many circumstances. I did learn today that there are 2 parts to an argument, Belief and Evidence. The belief being the cause and the evidence being the tool to win. They gave a silly example of a flawed argument:

Belief - the Moon is made of cheese and mice live on the Moon

Evidence - due to advancement in deep sea exploration the Titanic has been discovered on the sea floor.

I immediately though of THL and smiled, in good way 🙂 🙂 🙂
