Mushroom id book you as a good chap ( for the little you can tell from someone over the internet ) you was kind to me in my hour of need and i remember such things......but having a little experience now of old people who just lose it right at the end,either i was around the most beautiful man thats ever lived ( which i like to believe is true )....or people dont just become dirty overnight.......the person i lost last year was mentally gone in the end,yet he never became that cheap,tacky shitbag you just want to walk away from..........i get it that not all old people go the same way but for me it is clear as day that iworkwhippets is as sane as you or me.......just either lonely,unhappy or a tad unpleasant......personally id like to see the ol fella get off of here and get himself into some kind of old peoples group that will fulfil his needs in a way a forum like this never can.

Just my opinion, and I could be completely wrong, the old lad, and I call him the old lad because he’s a little bit older than me, has , in my mind been an ok bloke. 
He lost his wife , moved home and probably misses his friends and neighbours. He may think he had friends on here who he can join in the banter with, if he gets a wee bit out of synch who cares ? He’s certainly not the worst on here.

Think most of us have noticed the change in his posts and it seems to me he seems to crave the attention by having a pop at certain members.

I think he's a good sport , a loon , but still a good sport , and a decent sort.

I can speak from my own very bitter experience,  and say that losing a wife , can totally change the way that you see life , and can totally change the way that you behave .

You realise that most of life is just f***ing bullshit , and that most people's opinions aren't worth a wank, and you stop giving a f**k what they think . It also helps you to gain empathy , and you start to see that other people are in pain too , even though they're fighting to keep their heads above water , and not show that they're struggling. 

The old fella is just having a laugh. Don't take it too seriously.
