Pissing off over 2 France on the weekend and returning with crates of stubby bottles for sale on the building sites was very popular among security guards at that time I recall

That takes me back. A chap near me ended up in court 3 times for going over in lorries. The last time he got caught was looking at jail. Lol. Won't of been a biggie but told him your looking at a some bird. Brillant fella always fiddling tax man. At the time I work for him as a welder welding the security fencing. Next minute yard was full of coppers. His words here we go again. Under his unit was kitted out with ESP , whisky,  vodka , cigs , bacci.  Customs took the lot. He didn't do too bad from the runs

Good old days them 6 quid for 24 bottles think it was a decent % too not like the water over here in the uk. One good thing about the EU. Many are wanting us back in the EU in the bird game. Made it hard to bring birds over now. Chap a know had a grands worth of birds taken no money back.

Salukis and greyhounds were crossed together for an extremely simple reason……to get a coursing dog with the speed of a greyhound and the staying power, stamina of a saluki.

The best of the progeny were mated to each other and greyhound and saluki blood was added as and when needed.

Of course there was other blood in there, even Bedlington ! But its predominantly saluki and greyhound.

Cheers.
