Ok, so it wasn't just sleeping innocent kids but actual targets and potential threats, can't see the issue then.

Over here was different, it was a dirty war, they were killing republicans supposidly for bombing and maiming lots of innocent folks with their bombs. There was targets on all sides and it was tit for tat and about turf wars here too, all controlled by the british government, hence why the british armed forces are the best, they had plenty of training from over here, also look at what sinn fein are doing to ireland nowadays, exactly what they accused the british off doing, hence why they are on the way out
Welsh_red 4,979
I've never been in the services but it strikes me that if your going to send thousands to war with a group that generally all look the same and have a tendency to be ultra sneaky and highly sadistic whether male / female etc then they will have the attitude of kill or be killed. And the SAS will be in the worst of it battle wise I'd imagine then they will be ultra vigilant in protecting themselves and their team . I imagine many civilian casualties will occur just to be on the safe side . Some of the ex forces guys on here will put me right I'm sure but if you were sent into a building with the warning there could be terrorists In that building who will blow themselves or shoot you or your friends in a heartbeat I doupt you'd have time to stop and check which person will do you harm . I'm not advocating shooting unarmed civilians but after months of war/death/horrific violence I'm sure there pretty numb to it all and getting everybody back home alive would be priority I havnt watched the documentary but the handcuffed child part needs fleshing out more . On its own it doesn't explain anything like the actual age of the child , a 17 year old would still be classed as a child . If it was simply a innocent young child captured , handcuffed and shot then that's one thing . Or it could be a 16/17 year old fighter that had killed/ maimed / raped loads of people in a village and the SAS captured him and just thought " f**k him " and shot him All I know is that the world away from the western world is dark and horrific in a lot of places and im just greatfull we have the military might to protect us and at the very cutting edge of the military you will have to be slightly unhinged to do what they do . To make a proper informed decision on whether it was right or wrong to do whatever happened (if it happened) you'd need the full details of what happened
FLATTOP 5,059
It’s funny how they classify a woman at the ages of about ten or twelve to get married to old men in Afghan but when it comes to this documentary it’s a child utter bullshit. My son served with 22 in Kabul for a 7 month stint it wasn’t pretty f**k em it’s war.
