I saw one and I kid you not, he was trying to drag a St Bernard up the ladder. He looked very odd, God knows what fate held in store for that dog.

I saw the biggest one I ever saw on a wee hatch back an the chick putting it up was more like an estate haha I was gutted I wasn’t still about to see her try get in it haha

Just put a sheet of ply on the roof rack and stick your Bivy on it job done lol

That’s what we did. Marine ply with eyelet bolts so the strings that normally go to the pegs can be secured. 2 man dome tent on top with a aluminium ladder tied off. Worked a treat. Pain in the arse to put up in strong winds.

My last few quick/stealthy trips away I just tied a tarp to roof rails, pulled it over side of motor an pegged one the open ends downC carp bed under there an jamming, if not going stealthy then j just throw what ever size tent in motor an use tent or bivvie, anything colder then that an I’ll book a hotel haha

As good as they are I'm sure, I just can't see the point of sleeping on a car roof . If the weather is a bit bad you would be better with a tent pitched at side of your motor . Or if your on a campsite again just pitch a decent tent at side of your motor.  See loads round here strapped to all sorts of silly motors and I heard of a few getting robbed now as well. I think a lot like to get them so they can stick a pic up on there social media,  o look at me ! Lol
