Popular Post Rickshaw swami 4,224 Posted Saturday at 22:55 Popular Post Report Share Posted Saturday at 22:55 Alabama has the most fish species of anywhere in North America. Some are endemic to Alabama. One of these species is the Warrior Bass.It only lives in a few creeks in the Sipsey Wilderness.I wanted to catch some before they went extinct.I found a thesis studying these fish from Auburn University and they listed which creeks they found these fish.I spent the last 2 days exploring those creeks.Had a great time. 20

Just had a look, it means two contradicting statements in the same sentence, I think. Like wanting to catch something before it becomes extinct, therefore hastening that extinction. Of course I could be completely wrong . Cheers. Edited Sunday at 23:42 by chartpolski

Picture of Alabama spotted bass I caught while there.

Did you find any spots for the little dogs? I was on foot.I knew I could cover more ground this way as these creeks are extremely shallow.A kayak would get stuck alot. I didn't find anything for the little dogs.No beaver or otter.Me and my father hog hunted this area years ago. This area has produced more trophy size boar than anywhere I know of.They aren't many but there's some big ones.Usually in the mountains in Alabama you hunt boar or turkey.
