How’s everyone doing? Back 15-20 years ago I had multiple accounts on here. Was very friendly with a few names. Met life long friends and had some cracking sport with the dogs.    I haven’t bee

RHVD 11 . WILL BE HORRENDOUS HERE TOMORROW 😢

Pleasantly surprised.  Found about 30 dead above ground on them couple of days.  But it's bounced back well . Nearly back to the same number as it was . Plenty of bunnies

There was a single young one which we saw whilst walking the dog every evening, last week i saw it on the road heard us coming and ran in to a wall...yep mixy!

However yesterday morning and this morning in another area, again whilst walking the dog i saw 2, i hope they are male and female!!

Cheers

round me middle cheshire area theres either quite a few in their little area or none at all where they always were. Perhaps certain colonies adapted better to the diseases. when i see rabbits now and im just as pleased as when i see a hare because theyve really struggled very locally!

Locally to me they exist in little pockets, most of which I have no interest in decreasing the numbers.

It's been a long time since I seen a local rabbit with mixy. I hope that I do, because that would be an indication numbers are on the rise, and they deal with that better than RHVD

When the hard frost comes i go ferreting . Not for the pot , but to replenish areas . Been doing it for 15 year . Myxi once and rhvd 4/5 times . But the virus blows through quickly now and doesn't seem to wipe 95% out the way it did . It's jmo that the varied blood strains I'm introducing is creating an old mongrel rabbit more capable of fighting back . But as bosun says , they don't seem to branch out . Imo , that's due to the insane amount of predators now . No lapwing nor curlews will attain to that . Be nice if folk would drop a few instead of always necking every one they catch
