Granted it needs a great driver to get the best out of it, but for me it makes it nigh on impossible to determine who the best is, or was. No doubt Verstappen is a great in the making though, but the extent of his legacy will always be dictated by the car his team can put on the track. The best drivers tend to end up in the best cars, Max is now at a level that few have ever reached. He completely obliterates his teammates and they are very decent drivers. This weekend he won in the 3rd or 4th best car because he put in a magical qualifying lap on Saturday. He's just a pure racing machine, yes Hamilton is one of the greats but he just doesn't have the same consistency as Max.

Agree to an extent about best drivers and best cars but there remains a lot of variables. In my opinion Alonso is a better driver than Vettel, but has half the world titles simply because of the tools they had. I actually think that if you were to put Max and the likes of a prime Hamilton, Schumacher, Senna, Fangio maybe Prost, Stewart, Lauda, Piquet in exactly the same car, there would be very little to split them.

I agree I suppose and being honest, Hamilton's teammates have generally been much stronger than Max's but Max has been much more dominant over his. Currently he's on another level to the rest of the grid, he won yesterday in what everyone agrees is the third best car.

Gypsydog94 4,705
This is probably the sporting moment that really inspired me at 9 years old. I had already been playing rugby for a few years. After this moment the money that came into rugby clubs and the uplift in membership was mind blowing.
