poxon 5,826
Probably be a bit small an slow for fleeing rabbits the price beddy whippets are going for you’d be better off with a straight whippet there hard to beat as rabbit an rat catchers 4 Quote Link to post

Not too sure about that. But, I agree, a pure whippet would 'probably' be a better choice, depending on the land etc. Quote Link to post
WataWalloper 1,651
I’d give a 3/4 terrier a go if one popped up 2 Quote Link to post

Moochersways 221
I'd go for the Cross the other way around, never see the sense in breeding the sighthound out of a dog your losing speed 2 Quote Link to post

eastcoast 4,293
A friend of mine had one. He was a genuine working dog man but had the time and kennel space to follow fashion. A very nice dog but not something that would suit if you only had the one and wanted to catch rabbits. Used to attract a lot of attention at terrier/lurcher shows and people would be queuing up to exchange phone numbers for use as stud. Did everything that could be expected of it as a terrier too big to go to ground and a lurcher too slow to catch a rabbit. Quote Link to post
