This type of Spaniel/Beddy /Whippet hybrid, is real handy for the Bushing/Mouching style of hunting,...almost boundless, non-stop hunting and amazing energy,...not much gets past that exceptional nose

depends how they throw, this first cross has thrown more to Bedlington, never had a lot of pace but enough to get by. she's 8 now and has lost what bit she had, her strength has always been hunting, m

This is a cross I'd much prefer

Probably be a bit small an slow for fleeing rabbits the price beddy whippets are going for you’d be better off with a straight whippet there hard to beat as rabbit an rat catchers

3/4 bred being too small and slow?  Not too sure about that.

But, I agree, a pure whippet would 'probably' be a better choice, depending on the land etc.

it's 3/4 Bedlington so would agree with poxon, should be a good cover dog and mooching marking dog.

Yep, I read it too quickly and mentally assumed three quarter whippet.  👍

Yeah, like I said in an earlier post, I misread it.  👍

A friend of mine had one. He was a genuine working dog man but had the time and kennel space to follow fashion. A very nice dog but not something that would suit if you only had the one and wanted to catch rabbits. Used to attract a lot of attention at terrier/lurcher shows and people would be queuing up to exchange phone numbers for use as stud. Did everything that could be expected of it as a terrier too big to go to ground and a lurcher too slow to catch a rabbit.
