Just watched him collect a Walrus head, took him 4 hours to cut it's head off and he sledged it back 4 miles and boiled it to clean it. The guy is called Luke, funny old Christian type. Pretty entertaining though. 4 hours to cut its head off, what was he using dental floss?

I live by a fair size river, few years ago they held a gold panning or whatever competition, not sure if it was national or european level comp. But it was like 2 kms downstream from me! Every few years summer time youll see a motorhome pitched up & some hippie looking lot knee deep panning. Anyways.. always been meaning to go & have a butchers, maybe this summer with a mask & snorkel. 1
gnipper 6,995
I've been watching Al's Kitchen making takeaway style curries at home, I like a nice curry but the hygiene practices of the chefs has me a bit worried sometimes so I'm wanting to master making my own, been buying a few of the spices and made a couple so far and they're pretty simple. https://youtube.com/@alskitchen?si=fY0GvGQpvomYtGlB Edited December 7 by gnipper

The skin was hard to get open, just to get it started. The males weigh a couple of tonne or more and their neck must be super thick, because they smash the granny out of each other when fighting for females. Not saying it should take 4 hours,but.... Since the misses started making them about 20 odd years ago, she has become quite an expert and bought curries don't cut the mustard anymore. Most of them around here arent Indian, they are Bangladeshi, and can be money grabbing fast food merchants. Dhal is a long old process, but if you batch cook and freeze portions, it's well worth the effort. And making curry from scratch, is an effort. We do occasionally buy a ready meal for convenience, They aren't so bad, they just lack meat usually.
