Absolute pox of a season for West Ham.....Moyse must be pissing himself laughing at us ! I said the exact same thing last week spurs or man utd either could finish 4th from bottom yet and to think them two are even in that position in the first place I'm sure would of been good odds at the beginning of the season now one will end up in the champions league and not seen much of westham but it's been a hard slog this season losing key players hasn't helped with it only being a small squad

Newcastle have qualified for the Europa Conference League by winning the League Cup, and are just about certain to qualify for the Europa League by dint of their Premiership position, and have a very good chance of European Champions league. I read somewhere that the Premier could have seven teams in the European Champions League this year ! Cheers. Re Newcastle, sure beats hoping for points in the final few games to avoid relegation. Happy days!
eastcoast 4,502
Mixed feelings on Sunderland's game tonight. On the 1 hand have good friends and family members who are supporters and it would be nice for them to experience the joy of promotion, and a return of the Tyne/Wear derby's next season would be great. On the other hand it's Sunderland FFS! I should be supporting Coventry. Think I'll sit it out.

A “Derby”, to me is between two teams from the same city. A very intense, emotional game, tribal even, but not a “Derby”. I’ll be wanting Sunderland to get promoted, as it will be good for the area, but most importantly; 6 points for Newcastle ! LOL ! I know a certain Sunderland supporter will read this and give me stick, but honestly mate, good luck tonight ! Cheers.

Good for the area and I know some good people who were unfortunate to be born Sunderland fans, I'd be happy for them if they do it (they aren't expecting it though). I'll put all the horrible red n whites that I've met over the years out of my mind

A few fringe players will be moved onto make places in the 25 man squad available, but the main men are now on longer term contracts and no buy out clauses. More sponsors lined up , a new or extended capacity stadium, I think the hierarchy are getting it right. Cheers.
chartpolski 27,585
Just my opinion, but the “Ashley Era” didn’t end, financially, when the Saudis took over. The EPL rushed in legislation specifically FFP and PSR to prevent the Saudis spending enormous sums of money on players. PSR is a three year roll-over legislation, and the Saudis said it would take five years to build up finances under these rules and to end some of the frankly ludicrous sponsorships and bring in more revenue. There was no stadium advertising apart from Sports Direct, who didn’t pay a penny for it. The kit supplier , Castore , paid £5 million a year, now Addidas pay £30 million. The old shirt sponsors paid £5 Million, now the front of shirt sponsor , Sela, pay £30 million and the sleeve sponsor pays £10 million. The “five year plan” is ahead of schedule, a trophy won and now probably looked at as a top six team. Ive supported Newcastle since the 60’s , and had to wait almost 60 years for the next trophy ,so please forgive my optimism ! LOL ! Cheers.

Moyse had a bounce but it will be business as usual in no time, you watch mate. I bet there’s a few people wishing we’d have offloaded that Paqueta when there was all the talk of the big money. Squads in tatters in my very humble opinion, but I can’t make a proper judgement because I only get to see the edited match of the day stuff. You been going mate ? No i gave myself a season off mate, been a painful year as we've discussed and just couldnt face it....first time since i was about 13 that ive not been to a game all season but hoping to get the old itch again as time passes.....from what pals tell me they just need a good clear out down there loads of dead wood and a feeling of low expectation around the club which seems a shame after the highs of a couple of years ago....typical West Ham though mate whats that song again

If not for the fact that the 3 bottom sides are possibly the worst the Premier League has ever seen we'd be down.....i think we'll struggle next year as well personally.

Embarrassing.....i said when Chelsea/City did it......if that was my club it would end my active support, and i stick to that.........its a complete 2 fingers up to pure sport and the clubs we was raised with.... all in the name of modern sport/business.
