It wasn't bad mate, the ropiest flight I had in the himalayas was in a gyrocopter, done a flex microlight flight as well in the mountains, got to get off the beaten track to get to the really remote spots.Glad your boys are OK, japan's on the Pacific rim of fire, there will have been lesser aftershocks but nothing like the main one.

I do love a natural disaster, makes you realise how insignificant we really are in he overall scheme, thought this avalanche was a bit special so thought I would share

That peak is a one way trip for most, vultures had cleared it when I reached it.

I have to wait until next weekend to see them as they live in London but atleast there back👍

So if anything happened to you on the trail it'd be helicopter job wouldn't it of 50 or 100 grand n that's if you could make contact?

I got good insurance I think up to 4 or 5000 metres so it would have been a helicopter job mate yes, but as you pointed out no way of communication.

Been in far, far worse places when I was a kid Dodge, still survived.
