Cracking litter, you really do look after any pups you have . Those two of mine have given me some grief the last few weeks, finding beasts anywhere. Boots throws top class pups. These will no doubt be the same. 2 Quote Link to post

FUJI 17,623
My 3 pups that I kept back out of Boots x Rose..Gus back left,Tino back right & little Maggie at the front..they were 7 months old on May 6th..the two dog's will be well over 26tts & the bitch about 24tts..I weighed them the day they were 7 months old,Gus was 28.70kg,Tino 29.55kg & the little bitch was 24.50kg..they are all doing really well,so far so good with them..not a bother kind with sheep/lambs,will jump absolutely anything, very very keen pups but so they should be with being 5/8 Greyhound..from birth I've always favoured the black dog Tino & that's still the case,I really like him & I'm quietly confident that he will make a decent recruit, that doesn't mean the other two won't but this dog has always just been so easy to own, he's on my wavelength,he just seems to know what I expect of him,I've never ever had to drill something into him to make him do it,be that retrieve, recall, jump etc..he has just done thing's naturally & or at the first time of asking/showing him, those type of dogs don't come along too often, they are just 'naturals' & hopefully he will be a 'natural born killer' too, time will tell no doubt. If I'm honest keeping 3 pups was never my intention,I intended on keeping two but I've found it difficult to part with one but to be fair to them & give them all the best chance to express & prove their worth i may have to let one go at some point but we will see,for now they are happy & content so all is good. 18 Quote Link to post

FUJI 17,623
My young gun's yesterday afternoon..Tino,Gus & Maggie. As you can probably see all three are currently going through the moult, the more hair I take out of them the more seems to be there the following day,it's a seemingly neverending process 12 Quote Link to post
FUJI 17,623
Tino (Boots x Rose) 7 1/2 month's old.. currently standing 26 1/2tts but as you can see still got a bit of 'knuckle' on him so he's got a little bit more growing to do yet, weighing over 30kg so he's easily going to make 35kg plus by the time he fills out..he's a beautiful pup, very easy to own,has done everything I've asked of him so far, great recall,100% with livestock, brilliant retriever, jumps absolutely anything, not phased by water etc, great in the motor, none of that standing up bollox, straight in the motor & lays down instantly,he's just now really starting to 'switch on',very keen dog,he's already seen a couple of the smaller beasties out on our wanders,no hesitation in chasing them, followed them over fences without breaking stride,I have high hopes for him,he's a good looking pup,I just hope he can work as well as he looks..I guess we will find out in the not too distant future..he's the apple of my eye & I just hope he can steer clear of injuries & have a productive first season..Tino 5/8 Grey 1/4 Saluki 1/8 Bull 5 Quote Link to post
FUJI 17,623
Bear.. 99% of the time that I take the pup's out it's with just Bear,he's such an obedient dog with a fantastic temperament that just doesn't put a foot wrong in life that I believe he is a great role model for the youngsters. As I've said many times before I don't think many people would own him due to his disabilities but he's got a wonderful zest for life & enjoys every single day that comes around. He can on occasions show me that touch of brilliance that he had before he broke his neck, sadly it's not as often as I'd of hoped but still,it is what it is & we will enjoy those moments even more so when they do come around. He loves playing the father figure to the pups,he keeps them all in check when it needs doing & will play along with them too,the pups all adhere to him & I know out of my dog's they couldn't have a better dog to follow in the footsteps of.. as we are all aware in this game hype is just that,a dog has to prove it's worth time & time again, season after season but unfortunately Bear never got that opportunity as he broke his neck at a young age but having owned some serious dog's over the years I honestly believe hand on heart he was going to be the best of the lot, alas that's just my opinion & nothing more than that..I enjoy having him around regardless of what he can & can't do these day's & he will always have a bed & a pan of the best feed I can provide for him until father time calls him home..he WAS destined to be the next great thing in my eyes anyway 7 Quote Link to post
