I've got  a iwata neo ,it's  just a base model but far better than the cheap Chinese one I was using before,  think its 0.3 , like I say I want to try some art/stencil stuff , skulls seem to be the way forward,  I  sometimes watch that airbrush asylum on YouTube he seems pretty good at explaining the process.

I've got the neo and just started out on scale and r/c models, lovely work on the lures and I fancy trying to make some eventually.

Stick with it you only get better with the airbrush,  they can be a bit infuriating at times but when you get the paint flowing right they are great and rewarding.

any branded airbrush is a big step up from an cheap chinese brushes...lol...i did start off with one to see if the whole adventure was for me, as time went on i found the cheap brush just wasn't helping me, the ps 270 had such good reviews from a lot of the professionals so that's what made me get one (plus they are a really good price for there quality)....the difference was night an day.....the neo has got a good review and was in my mind , but the ps270 edged it for me as it had the mac valve (so you don't have to keep adjusting the air pressure) and majority of pro's had one as there favorite gun....yes, the airbrush asylum does give out some good advice and is a pretty good artist...doing skulls and such, i think is the number one thing a painter wants to perfect who are into custom paints.....let us know how you get on bud....

I really need to get  a better compressor next I'm currently using just a little on demand thing its served me well but has its limitations it max out at around 25psi I think.

What paints are everyone using? At the minute I'm using tamiya acrylics but those Vallejo acrylics look good.

I use a bit of a mix of  vallejo and creative/wicked  paints...I like the vallejo paints  they are cheap and they have a good selection in my local boyes store I do use a thinner with them also just a couple of drops in the cup helps them flow a bit easier as I'm limited on the psi I can achieve with my current compressor.

yes that would be hard using that on a bigger picture....get one with an air tank and not the ones without a tank as they are continually running when you press/pull the trigger....my compressor is only 12 inches long by 12 ish inches high but 150psi 10 bar....but basically you could use a big compressor from your garage if need be....
