Arry 25,192
Out after the fungi again. There some I wanted and some I didn't. The one at the top middle wanted but not the rest. Tiny Cep. Cep. Look nice but I'll pass on Fly Agaric. Think this is False Death Cap. I don't even touch any thing like this. Cheers Arry

My woodland is only 8.5 acres , and it's mainly pretty mature oak. I reckon that a pretty good estimate of the acorns hanging in the trees , and what have already fallen , is pretty close to 500 tons . I've seen plenty of acorns over the years , but it has to be seen to be believed this year. Last year , it was a struggle to find enough acorns to fill two pint pots , to send to my mate that grows oak saplings In five minutes yesterday , I collected a bucket full of hazelnuts, from underneath just one tree , thats already given me about three buckets full . Im hoping to get even more next week. I'm even hoping to grab a couple of sack fulls of acorns , to try leaching them , then dry and store them for eating . I want to try different seasonings on them . Salt and vinegar , and wasabi .
