I use 10lb tieable wire , more pliable than most traces and don't need big clips that most ready made come with.

I think I have a spool in the lure bag somewhere just been getting perch all summer then yesterday first two casts pike first one landed but second one took the jig which I don’t like so will get some little wires made up

We Noticed the pike are waking up now,started following the barbel rigs when we were retrieving them on the river last time out after a little rain,gonna have a good go this winter,and try and break my pb river pike👍

Nice one 👍Was going to go piking Sunday ,but the thunder and lightning put me off .

Did a double take then … thought it was Jim Bowen off bullseye …. 😳

I’ll be up the shop getting some freshwater deadbeats in for the weekend still not seen a zander yet been here years lost count of the pike and perch I’ve had but still never seen a Z one of my neighbours had family up the weekend little kid spinning had one first fish I couldn’t believe it so little roach and trout on single hooks for the winter

When my daughter was 7-8 she would catch roach etc from the back of which ever boat I had  at the time and then bucket them for live baiting , any left were dispatched and taken home and frozen for the next trip . No zander around here as far as I know ,

I think this is about the furthest south they are the canal is kept a bit hush by the predator heads but they have had zander of mid 20s out of here they’ve come down the Severn
