I much prefer tubes than flat band. They're more consistent and last longer.

Had a bit of a accident a few weeks ago.. I shoot with a relaxed grip and a tube snapped bringing the catty outa my hand hitting me flush in the eye. I'm left with a scar on my lense ( which will heal in time). So I decided to shoot light bands n ammo to regain form and  confidence ( with a  lanyard n shooting glasses). I'm quite amazed at what 7mm steel will do with a bit of practice.  The rabbit was 20 mtrs and hit in the high neck/bottom of the skull.

Do the tubes wear much faster where they go under the clips? I love shooting looped tubes OTT but always struggle to keep them secured on the fork.

I haven't found that they wear too much mate, I use dankung premium and they outlast everything I used in the past.

What you tying them with mate ? I like the constrictor knot with waxed thread for that reason if there gonna snap they seem to go where they been tied rather than at the fork coming back at you.

Constrictor knot using engels twine. Sometimes I wrap that with black Amber belt to neaten it up.

I’ve shown this before but I tie my tubes by using a short length of tube pushed over a pair of long nose pliers then push your ends through and slide it off the pliers nice and neat easy to do

That's ideal then, might have to look into a clipped frame. I agree with you on the dankung tubes mate, the gzk tubes are abot 10- 20 fps faster but have a shocking life-span....I'm lucky to get a couple of hundred shots out of them.

Looped tubes seem to be doing the job on the pigeons for me lately, 2040 and 9.5 lead.
