Pulled a good shot off this morning probably a fluke in my case 😆 I spotted a squirrel up the side of the wood that was a fair distance catapult wise and hit it with anhead shot that just flipped it o

Little evening walk with a new bushing terrier shot a couple of geese and a squirrel too hot for anything else little 10mm leads are magic really enjoying them

Lovely job, some decent kills there. What tubes do you use for the 10mm?

I knew someone was going to ask me mate buys a tonne of different tubes off that Ali express some are good some ain’t I know the stuff I’m shooting at the minute is 5080 you will get odd fliers but it me got some speed.

the only downside I can say is on the little leads if your shooting stuff infront of dogs in bramble the shot doesn’t quite punch through like a 12mm or 14mm and where they are so small it’s hard to see ya shot and adjust how your shooting

I have been shooting a real good flat bad I think it’s catty shack red shot 25-20 for 12mm steel or 20 straight cut for anything smaller it’s brilliant stuff I’ve not seen a flatband come close to it for longevity and power the 1.1 was better again seemed stretchier

I've got a roll of .8 red shot and I think it's shite, heavy draw, inaccurate and not very fast! Not a patch on snipersling imo. Used to like the old milky white 1mm  gzk cut 30/20 on a ppmg years ago.

I was given a .9 snipersling green set cut at 25/17 and it was brilliant and the lad sent me another set from a different roll and it squeaked as I pulled the bands back... terrible it was.

People are slagging the dankung tubes off now too though, stating their not the same as they used to be and inconsistent. The trouble i find with buying from China is that you never really know what your getting and by the time it gets to your door step, I can't be bothered to complain.

And to add to my problems, my boy found a day or two old pheasant chick that had been abandoned and bought it home. We've been raising her for the past few weeks and will likely have to release her in the next few weeks. There's no way I can go out this coming season and shoot any hen birds with a clean conscience!

It's mad how dolifferent people like different bands, that's why I always try something myself before making an opinion. There's so much inconsistency in batches too

Yes I’d very much agree. The difference in the 1.1mm and the 1mm was enormous performance wise yet you wouldn’t believe it on paper.

mr Wilkes you ever tried tapered tubes ? I cant remember where I used to get them but they were very consistent but I found you had to choose pouch and tying material carefully

I've just never got on with tube, seems so slow to me to shoot compared to flats. Should give myself a kick up the arse and practice more and give tube another try. Another thing with me is I can only shoot 90 to 100mm frames so I can't shoot them little gypsy frames with tube for love nor money. I think maybe a lot of lads possibly shoot instinctive with those small frames and tube ?? Were as I shoot ott and aim.
