I watched this video earlier that left me somewhat confused,  apparently at these high stake competitions they perform polygraph tests on the fisherman? I'd have thought that just cutting the fish ope

These guys had won 3 million dollars in various fishing competitions, were just about to get another 45,000 dollar cheque for "winning" this comp, when someone became suspicious ? https://youtu.b

I'd think they'd just adapt to using rocks, or simply stuffing them with other fish to fill their bellies.

Not once they had been caught, no second chances, the cheats in this case have been arrested, they won't be entering comps anymore.

Of course. I was meaning future cheats.

I think comps will tighten up somehow after this, those guys were sponsored by cabela's, had a free boat, 3 million prize money, they cheated for quite a while, I have a feelings new rules and regs will come into play.

A local fishmonger had his electric slicer fecked a by a salmon containing a lead pipe. ?

We used to have an annual all night fishing competition. An angler was declared the winner until my sharp eyes noticed three of the winner's sea trout were frozen stiff......straight from the freezer. Events turned nasty. Felt sorry for him because his name is forever tarnished and he still has the piss taken regularly.

This countries no better;

- a lad down here got given a fish down the river, he stuffed a lead in its throat and videos it for a comp. Didn't realise it had already been entered.

- a bloke photoshopped his face on a Google pic for a competition

- 2/3 year back it was found the winner of the eobc had caught his fish on a boat the day before

Guys who tell lies kind of fascinate me. Like the guys who wear war medals when they have never been in the army. Or fully able athletes who fraudulently  compete against paraplegics. How about undercover coppers who have children with eco warriors and then disappear?

 There's a lot of Walter Mittys about. How do they respect themselves? Weird feckers.

In big money bass tournaments  here in Alabama you must take a polygraph.There is more rules to it than most realize.A local fishermen cannot tell you any information for a week prior to the tournament.So basically no help from friends other than your fishing partner.This is the main reason for polygraph in bass fishing.

In bass tournaments you must keep the fish alive or be penalized.
