One of the other lads has a dental appointment in the morning so have asked if I will cover his shift so I’m here for another night nice now the evenings our opening out got the noodles on for tea picked up some old water bottles to make crayfish traps next week when it gets a bit warmer and my Monday night park up spot

I only do 2 days a week normally and as it’s a long day 6 to 6 and an hour each way I sleep in my van overnight rather than drive back late and leave early in the morning but I got 3 days this week and two nights in the van

When I worked for a haulage company ( stillers, carline ) we used to shift gear out of there, spent many a night shift in there in the mid 90’s when it was owned by British steel and then Corus, everyone in there had an orange tinge to their skin, it was an absolute sh*t hole just like the blast furnace that used to be at Redcar and the beam mill at Hartlepool
