We’ll have to agree to disagree on this one, if your sling is adjusted properly the rifle should only point upwards, a long time ago someone I knew was carrying a rifle upside down and he hadn’t put the safety on and the trigger got caught on a button on his jacket and the rifle went off, he was millimetres away from blowing his foot off with a .308 bullet 😬

Bloke last year, can’t remember which state, deer season out with his son,I think the kid was 9?went to put his rifle in the truck the kid was on the other side of the vehicle, rifle somehow went off,the round went through the truck and killed the kid on the other side.

I have three rules if you are out with me, first, when you are loading the rifle it must be pointing towards the floor, you never put a loaded rifle in the vehicle and once you have unloaded the rifle you show me with the bolt open, I’ve seen someone shoot through the roof of a Land Rover when they had a loaded rifle in the footwell

I didn’t see that, I would of guessed that involved thermal, I’ve seen a lot of people shooting at things they’ve seen through thermal and not being 100% what it is

I seen one a couple of years ago ( in America I think it was) where someone had put a loaded rifle in the back of a vehicle and his dog stepped on it and it went off and killed him

I wouldn't put a loaded airgun in a vehicle, never mind a live, cannot be too careful
