He'll be earning his corn today . We used to work in it in the old days , before it was wheelie bins. Do those lads earn decent money out there ?.

I don't think any councils in this country do it like that any more mack . Having said that , we've been collecting Christmas refuse today . My lads have been loading bins , plus taking a handful of bin bags from most houses. They weren't happy bunnies at all . because they're agency , they didn't get paid when we didn't work last friday( because of the snow), but they've been expected to do , today's work , and last Fridays work , even though they lost a days wages.
Bendigo 1,743 Posted Thursday at 22:31 Report Share Posted Thursday at 22:31 Didn't get much work done today, set off and then noticed I had bald tyres so had to go and get 4 new ones fitted. Then it was home to pick up the dog and gun as id had an offer of an evening flight from @Blackmag. After driving to his chosen spot we stood talking in the corner of a field waiting for evening to come on he happened to mention that he'd seen signs of an otter. 10 minutes later I saw a patterdale terrier with a funny type of run that was coming right across the field towards us. I pointed it out as it dawned on us what it was. If we had been a few steps further back into the hedge it would of run straight into us. I'd just got my camera out and started filming when my young lab noticed it too 🫣. Photo doesn't do it justice. We got a really good look at it. By then I was absolutely made up and wasn't bothered if we even got a shot as it was a brilliant experience seeing it running so close in daylight. We got settled on a splash and I put a couple of cartridges in from the 'handful' Blackmag said I would need. Over a 45 minute period I shot my handful and a further box full that Blackmag kept throwing across at me! Absolutely fantastic evening and I can't thank @Blackmag enough. I've done a lot of flighting over the years but tonight was something else. My head went a couple of times as there was so many ducks in the air coming from different directions. 15

Bendigo 1,743 Posted Friday at 14:35 Report Share Posted Friday at 14:35 Caught this little pigeon in the center of the local town. Had to fight off some mad karens who decided they were animal saviours and I was obviously a cruel evil pigeon torturer. I'll probably be on Facebook pages later "have you seen this dog fighter catching pigeons for bait, please share" Anyway I phoned the number on the ring and it's from Bristol. They are driving to pick it up in the morning.....6.5 hr round trip
