I was talking to an old work mate yesterday for a good hour, he's 64 and left the old gaff just before me, he's working for a civils firm from Ripon and they have a Yorkshire Water contract, they have a massive job starting soon 15 mins away from me, if it doesn't work out here I'm going to give them a bell. They do lots of deep drainage, it's not something I've ever really done but I have done tons of drainage jobs on the railway and still have most of my plant tickets, I'm handy as well because I can set out and use a laser leveller, work out all the grades and what not. Your living the dream tho fairplay Aye pal each pile is the soil it’s got from digging its tunnels, so usually a tinnel joining all the mole hills, set traps, an usually lift them 48 hrs later mate don’t need check these as they kill instantly if set properly, charge by the mole on these jobs. If i set a number of traps I atleast expect there to be half that number in moles, so set 2 traps for each mole, 1 as a back up trap, get nice surprises some jobs tho sn can have as many as 75% of the traps have caught, an often, especially this time year ye start getting doubles, 2 moles in a trap, there the good ones haha 20 quids worth a mole in 1 trap, haha I set just shy of 100 traps today, if I get 65+ moles I’ll be happy any less than 50 and I’ll be kicking mole hills about in a huff haha 2 Quote Link to post Share on other sites
