And it was these mens dogs that were the base for the coursing bred dogs of today in the UK?

So it was not the working class hunters who imported most of the saluki's?

I always had the idea that the foundation for our coursing dogs were imported in the 70's for some reason.

most the saluki in the start of our coursing breds we’re from my old man a lot a knightellington and then  some wind swift 70s and 80s negma al jaiden sir terence clark’s stuff come later etc come later

Where did your old man get his Salukis from mate?

a farmer he knew he did some building work for him and asked for a pup instead a payment mate

he’d coursed since a bain with every type when the saluki came on the scene went from chasing with a few dogs to killing them

So your old man got given one off a farmer and that dog was put in to a lot of lurcher crosses?

I'd had guessed that it was the lads who were in to the coursing clubs and all that who would have started importing them.

I very much doubt the small time moocher would have bothered until they became more popular.

I imagine importing them was a dear do back in the day.

Did he breed the first cross saluki greyhounds, and 3/4 Saluki 1/4 greys?
