To be fair the lad is just asking where you would put up your dog if offering it at stud. It’s a fair point really as how often do folk come On here askin for or looking for studs. From what I can see most of what’s said on here is Jackanory anyway, half the thl recommended dogs have done f**k all and the folk giving it big licks about mega worked, mega tested, super duper line bred dogs ..... are mostly talking crap anyway ?

Whooo I love a good bit of talking hard on the hunting life ??especially when someone forgets some of the stuff they’ve written on other posts in the past ?? all good fun tho hey

Iv not had loads of experience working lurchers at all (plenty with gun dogs) so I don’t know if it’s a fair point really or not if being not very controllable  is typical of the cross.  Would be interested to know what the lads experiences on here are with them in that department ??? But the beddy whippet greyhound I had was the most biddable and trainable dog iv ever owned , maybe I was just lucky with the one I had.

Chat to nothernlite of here pal good guy that works the cross ??

Half the folk commenting or reading on here don’t even own a running dog and most of the other half don’t do f**k all with the one they’ve got ?

Bit harsh, mate. There probably is some truth in that, but there's very many on here who DO own and work dogs, and have done for many years ?

Statements like that put you in danger of being regarded as a more erudite and literate version of that "expert" on the other site ! ? !

As for the OP, do we really need more "stud dogs" , that appear, on the surface, to have done nothing and are probably unsuitable to add anything to working lurchers ? Aren't there enough of them around anyway ?

The lad probably thought this was a good place to get information, it is, but we can be a bit sarcastic.....wokedom hasn't infiltrated THL yet !

Cheers.

Fair enough. I can think of at least one person on this thread taking the piss out of the lad who’s recently used a stud they didn’t know f**k all about, had never seen work and didn’t know the breeding. Oh and was 18 months old.

Are you stating riohog bred out of a 18month old he knows feck all about if your talking to joe an there’s only 4 of us commenting on the thread an the dog I bred out 5yrs ago of passed away of old age about a year ago

fight, fight, fightfight hunting life bitch fight ????can all ready see the 1k bid challenges coming now wanting a roll around in a layby ???

Quite possibly! But I’ll stand by what I said for the most part looking at who was reading and commenting initially. There are plenty of folk who do plenty on here but I can think of a couple Who were commenting on here giving the lad shit who’ve used random stud dogs that had some bugger all and of which they knew very little. Untried, unknown, untested dogs..... and yet same folk would hang draw and quarter someone for suggesting in on here.

No issue with banter or even being a harsh c**t but it’s a bit shit watching some Folk give it all that and run ppl down when they do the same or worse / less.

I couldn’t really give a f**k what folk here thought of me, I know I work my dogs and I know I’m honest about them and I’ve a half dozen mates I don’t get enough chance to see as it is ?
