Dog for stud???

Want to put my dog up for stud once he's past 3 years old but don't really know anyone with a decent lurcher breeding bitch. Is there a site, or part of a site for stud dogs? Has this site got one? Someone suggested Pets for Homes but I think that's probably a commercial rip off. I'm interested in quality dogs, not money. Just don't know anyone in the breeding world. Not sure if the internet is the way to go but it might be the only way...basically want to meet people, get to know their dogs and them mine. Dog is Beddy whippet Greyhound (throwback to Saluki). Fast, tough, excellent nature but on downside, not the most controllable (typical of the breed). A basic all rounder but especially a courser (Sire is a lure coursing champ). I'm in central Wiltshire.

Think your struggle to get anyone come forward offering quality bitches from decent stuff that are good in the field wanting to enter in to some breeding program most people are only interested in what a dog can do in the field there breed to a equal good dog that is known to them because they have to as it’s the only way to secure a well bred pup for the job to run on. Good luck in your search The thing that would put me off your add straight away is your dog is it’s not controllable an you’ve put it down to the breed an not your self what’s the point in a dog theres no control over its pretty useless in the working game if there’s no obedience/control of a dog

Couldn't visualise a add with so much lack of information about a potential stud dog being offered there’s no real information there to go off bar it’s going to be offered at stud

To be fair the lad is just asking where you would put up your dog if offering it at stud. It’s a fair point really as how often do folk come On here askin for or looking for studs. From what I can see most of what’s said on here is Jackanory anyway, half the thl recommended dogs have done f**k all and the folk giving it big licks about mega worked, mega tested, super duper line bred dogs ..... are mostly talking crap anyway

Yes I seem to recall you where looking for a stud dog on here not so long ago, maybe you should use this lads dog.

Might be a tad hard as the bitch died tragically at the start of the season but thanks for the advice mate. Hero.
