Mrs Stav’s mate round for dinner today so I’ve had to posh it up a bit, went for pot roast beef, gravy made from the pot, cream mash, carrot and turnip mash, sage Yorkshire puds, thyme roast spuds, cabbage cheese with panko breadcrumbs ( same as cauliflower cheese but with white cabbage) and a bit of veg

Treat off my dad tonight, he's a friend on the fresh fish stall up town... Scallops and lemon sole fillets...

Family get together at ours, so a bit of a spread.. 13 hour cooked brisket, slow cooked pork shoulder.. Home made coleslaw, stuffing, roasties... and a 2 day hangover! Lol

My idea of a hotpot type thing, layered sliced potato with yesterdays leftover beef with shallot, carrots, turnip, leek and tomatoes, had it with yesterdays leftover Cheesey cabbage and tender stem, it was bloody lovely
