Rabbit Pie ! And, for the purists, made with shortcrust pastry, NOT puff pastry ! ? ! Cheers.

Family get together at ours, so a bit of a spread.. 13 hour cooked brisket, slow cooked pork shoulder.. Home made coleslaw, stuffing, roasties... and a 2 day hangover! Lol

Treat off my dad tonight, he's a friend on the fresh fish stall up town... Scallops and lemon sole fillets...

Don't get a commercial one from a supermarket....they do them in Asda...mate there not the same

Nope, I wouldn't do that mate.

There are a few Caribbean restaurants in Liverpool now, so I just need to pick one and get stuck in. All them fillings on Downsouth's post are right up my street... 😋

There's a couple popped up round here now too and I keep getting tempted to try but knowing my luck I'd get something too spicy and wimp out.

There is mate, I seen Nanny Pearl's get great reviews last year, and I'm tempted to give that a go.

Edited to add, nothing would be too spicy 👍

It's just something I've personally never ate, or seen, chicken with baked beans.

we put sum strange stuff in our mouths in norfolk..............good and bad

Regional variations, I suppose.

To me, sausage, bacon and black pudding goes with beans, eggs and tomatoes.

Fried or poached egg does NOT go with mashed potato, but baked beans certainly do.

Chicken does NOT go with fried/poached egg, or baked beans lol.
