Imo, it's going to take something really horrendous (not that what has happened sofar isnt horrendous enough,) to happen for the people to stand up and really take notice, and then maybe put pressure on the government's of their countries to do something.

For the moment, if it's not affecting someone, their not bothered, it's a case of I'm alright jack, look after yourself. Sad but true.

I’d say unless the public take it into their own hands ,gov ain’t never going to intervene .We’ve seen enough here to motivate gov to take measures but there is defo something in the background we ain’t really taking in .It must affect the white members of parliament but for unknown reasons and quite how ,they are silenced .

Yep, that's us taking in more unwanted strains on our societies, health care, and financial services. 

What ever happened to charity begins at home, look after your/our own first. This government would sooner step over a homeless irish person, on its way to welcome in the trash of the middle East, and give them all they need.
