Shortest write up ever

Dad filled the bird feeder up with seed 2 days ago , as he leaves it empty in the summer .

So he came an told me he seen a rat on the feeder earlier , half n hour an 3 aborted attempts due to the safety being on and noise from opening the living room window  I got it ?

out  of interest How quick do rats find food in their environment or how far do you think they could smell the seed from?As we never see them climbing over an empty feeder .

one rat with big stones ? and a lead injection via the crosman xl and a wasp pellet .

Can't ever under estimate rats.

Tricky blighters.

My neighbour had a birdbath that the rats used to have a wash in.

I said I fancied a crack at them with the .177, he said be my guest.

There was no safe backstop though, so I built one out og 3/4 plywood and positioned it mounted on wooden stakes. All was set fair for a massacre.

But the rats never returned. Like they knew....
