But when it comes to cheese rolling, we don’t take any shit . The cheese will continue to roll and there is nothing the police or government can do to stop it . You wait, one day an Asian will turn up, not win and you'll have hell to pay!

The rules are simple, first to the bottom wins the cheese . I promise you , where I live there will be no Tokenism or pandering. If they rock up and win , fair play to em , they would deserve to go home with a cheese . We had a Gurkha turn up one year and win the uphill race , I’ve never seen anyone move uphill as fast as that guy . But he didn’t win a downhill cheese . I haven’t seen any other ethnicities do any good in the race , a Japanese guy broke his leg last year , I remember seeing him carried aloft through the crowd wearing his rising sun headband, screaming in agony . Maybe it’s just a white culture thing , maybe we are the only race stupid enough to hurtle down that near vertical hill , for a cheese .

THE STIFFMEISTER 17,519
Common ridings are a good day out and are unique to the Scottish Borders https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Common_Riding from the traditional to the modern , some are taken seriously from the choosing of the cornet, rideouts , the patriotism of the Langholm one where its taken more seriously than Xmas and people return from all over the world to go, to the one at cop Shaw which is a paradoybifvthe Langholm one with the riding done in push bikes led by the 50p tub. A play on the word cornet. interestingly the Kirk yetham riding has its roots in the traveller community with the head man being named the “kushti Gadgi” a very traditional British day out and I love that these still go on. THE STIFFMEISTER 17,519
I once put my name down for that but the British embassy stopped it as they didn’t want footage of three hundred dead bulls spoiling it forever
