micky 3,325
Where ever i have been in Europe the fish and Seafood is cheaper than England, in France we ate Oysters and Seafood Platters that were a fraction of the cost here , in Germany cooked Fish seemed very cheap as all food was there, in Spain local people lived on Prawns and Mussels and even when i worked in Aberdeen the place i stayed dished massive portions up for Breakfast and dinner , so when we are out of the EU will Fish be cheaper ? Will it Fluck ! IT WILL BE MORE EXPENSIVE BECAUSE WE ARE OUT OF THE EU.

Go around the back of any sea food restaurant in France and Spain and I'll guarantee that most of the fish boxes are branded with UK suppliers. The reason sea food is so expensive in the UK is because it is regarded as a luxury. In France and Spain it is an everyday ingredient of their cooking. Spain is the largest consumer of sea food and yet has virtually no fisheries of their own. France imports € millions of sea food every year from the UK and most of its own catch quota are in British waters.
