I had a go at hand forging a Damascus blade ... I used three different steels and got it up to a 120 layers ... I’m happy with the result ......

You got a power hammer ken or just bashing? I'm thinking about the gear my oldman got rid of from foundry , linishers galore , flat Sanders, could've cast aluminium and brass bit for Garda's, hey ho. I've drawn a couple of blades going to cut them out of stock, are you doing your own heat treatment or sending stuff off?

Power hammer coming next week mate so for now it’s all arm work. I do everything myself mate from forging to heat treat to handles etc  ... I’m putting a brass guard on this so I had to sacrifice a greyhound lol ......

That looks absolutely fantastic!!!!!

What steels did you use?

Making your own knives from the own forged steel is definitely another level.

Please keep us updated!
