Have been in mk1 cossie 500 bhp with 185 x 13s on 

It was so noisey not so much engine but the chassis noise kept thinking it was going to fold in half mental carry on, lighting up the types 3rd gear in the dry lol

I would imagine the old moggie creaking and groaning under load lol

Nice dan the man I’ve not done much with cars the last 5yrs I sold my last car I built about 4yrs ago a classic mini chucked over 11k in it building it kept it for a bit but was to nice to use practically  I feel like I need another toy in my life but I want something I can build an use I thought maybe a mk1 transit connect van an do a engine conversion I thought maybe a mk1 focus st170 engine an turbocharge it as the connect is runs early focus chassis legs the engine would fit straight in or with a little modification a mark 2 focus 2.5st engine conversion the Volvo 5cylinder turbo it’s the wiring in that id struggle with as it’s not my strong point or go completely of the scale an try an fit Honda vtec  k20 or k24 on in a front of a little contact van

I wanted to fit a 2ltr pinto engine into a ford 100e my dad owned but he said no ?

But owned a few motors in the past .

a series 1 and a series 3 Landover 

MK2 Jetta 

Mini clubman estate 

Various banger cars 

But the old fords are my favourite, while lads at college were looking at pictures in max power or fast car I was reading classic ford ?

And you were odds on favourite in a police chase unlike today?, I used to do a head gasket on the old pushrods and 20 pintos easily in under an hour in the garden with a few spanner’s and a shitty socket set ?

My Nan had a Ford anglia from new stopped driving when she was 87 and it was in much the same nick always wanted to do the same to that but never got a chance and it disappeared when she passed away, had a mk2 escourt with an early 20 Zetec  lump in it with twin 40s instead of injection fast as but still prefer a pinto or pushrod for simplicity and reliability, have you ever seen the power the Harris family squeeze out of them it’s mental

We used the  pinto in the bangers as it was so simple to do any repairs , we had a 1600 pinto mated to a Sierra diesel gearbox that thing had some speed in it considering you never got out of 2nd gear ..

If we had kept all our old cars then we could have retired unhappy
