WILF 49,193
Just now, NEWKID said: I'm the same mate to be honest... I think I've said on here before some kids would rather not have been born than the lives they have to endure, some people just shouldn't be parents.. kids being passed around the system etc... rape victims, foetus with severe medical conditions .etc etc... there has to be a case for abortion... As I said before though mate, that’s more a social problem than a woman problem......we shouldn’t be killing babies as a get out of jail card because we live in a world where every f***ing type of weirdness and character flaw is considered “Ok” (I know you ain’t suggesting that by the way )

I just wonder if forcing everyone to have the child regardless of consequence is a good thing for any child.... The other points regards rape or severely handicapped child...since people just couldn't cope with the burden of a severely handicapped person...it is a life of dedication.... it's a tough one mate when you have empathy for all involved and not just the unborn child... As I said it's a struggle for me to have the amount of conviction in and argument as you, your mind is firmly made up...
WILF 49,193
Oddly enough mate, I’m not so black and white on most subjects as people may think......I understand there are shades of gray in almost every situation. However, I think now days we look at a lot of things arse upwards. We come at most things from a position of acceptance so after that there not much argument. I think we should start at “No” and work back if you get my drift

I think abortion is a very emotive subject and when it comes up on a site which in the main is a bunch of hunting blokes it does make laugh at our outcry!! Lol From previous posts on here I'm sure there were 2 woman involved in the debate, Kay and Carasgem i think?? But they were both pro abortion, but for the right reasons... it's a fine line though I guess.... you make it legal with certain regulations.. and the scammers will be crying rape at every opportunity... or you ban completely and real people with desperate reasons are denied this.... I dont know mate, tough one.... I will say though, why 28 weeks?? At the 12 week scan a decision on the babies health can be made surely? What reasons at 28 weeks??

The 20 week scan is the one that checks for defects .. and I suppose not everything is picked up everytime on that scan ..

WILF 49,193
I don’t know if this is relevant to the thread or not, but my brother lost a wife and twins in childbirth years ago. He then married again and had a son and daughter, his daughter was born with quiet severe Down’s syndrome. When she was born my dad told me he came to him and cried like a baby and my old man told him “You had her now you love her and look after her” He took that girl everywhere with him her whole life, she is 47 now, go’s to her centre every day to work......that little girl bought so much love into all our lives it’s just not true. Sometimes the things you think are your trials are really your blessings Edited October 25, 2019 by WILF 4

Sometimes the things you think are your trials are really your blessings You put it into words far better than me wilf, i know two handicapped lads, one lives round the corner from me he 40 now,Michael his name, good craic he is. I don't understand how people consider handicapped or disabled people as a burden, its hard going but it's life, still your flesh an blood, but even at that I think if your big enough to do the deed an be stupid an not use anything then ye know the consequences, people should be taking responsibility for there actions, there's a severe lack of this now adays mate. An the abortion thing I say kill the the rapist tae f**k, so the mother an child never has to worry bout the c**t, but society is f****d, letting them off lightly. Everyone knows the procedure for abortion is horrific for the mother an baby, so why not just have the baby then adoption, I think women could handle an birth an adoption rather than a horrific procedure which will be on there mind for rest of there lives. It's a hard subject an we all don't agree mate.
BGA 117
Personally Gay marriage doesn't effect me and I don't really think it's any of my business what two people want to do in that regard so I can't see any reasonable argument against it So much emotion is involved with abortion. I don't think it matters what the cut off point is some people just think it's wrong. There are so many factors involved it's so hard to decide what is right and what isn't but for me, personally I don't have a problem with abortion at 28 weeks.
