I know that it isn't a must to have a pooch on your trips but I'm itching to get a small lurcher to tag along (my spanners just rag my nets).

So whats the general consensus on a ferreting dog luxury, help, hinderance?

If I can get it past the warden I have a chance of a bedo/whippet with a hint of saluki. All working well and I completely trust the owner

ferreting dog is a essential tool. I wouldn't ferret without one.

The whippet x Russell pups in classifieds on here look ideal for ferreting /hedgerows .

I think they will make cracking little ferreting, mooching dogs.

walked past a little 5 hole at the side of a water trough this morning. no sign of rabbit activity you wouldn't look twice at it but the dog knows different.
