They won't go to waste, but not expecting much taste wise when you look at what they eat. Saying that was surprised by gray squirrel tough but tasty. 

Mate of mine skinned gutted a fox once then put it threw a mincer said it stunk pretty bad then tried dogs  and ferrets on it and neither would touch it ?

Squirrel is nice, wouldn’t eat fox dog or cat or badger

I've eaten squirrel, OK.  and the old boy that I was apprenticed under said that during the war that smoked Badger hams were well sought after. Just like best quality smoked ham. I can't see that any meat would be necessarily bad for you but it depends on how old the animal is what cut and how you prepare and cook it. and it's Coot not Koot. ? they're classed as duck so must be similar. you'd probably eat it if you were hungry enough. softies.

Probably eaten them all at some point in various different takeaway's maybe even coot.

Does the saying "as bald as a coot " relate to the bird ?
