I disagree WILF. If someone was talking to our kids like these b*****ds do online. You and me would both see the fuuckers as paedos and rightly so. That is what they are! I would happily sort anyone o

I make them right, these so called vigilantes are nothing more than glorified busy bodies who use protection of children as an excuse to indulge the nastier sides of their small minded characters.

Should be recruiting nonce hunters not threatening them...scum of the universe

I was reading in one of the papers the other day one of these blokes who does it has stopped . apparently he just hands over info to the police & dont meet up with them, he was saying theres lots who arrange meetings with these peado's & dont pass on the info to the police ,

I still think its strange that an adult has to create a whole online profile & persona to enable them to trap them .... how many of you lads would pretend to be a 12 year old girl, it just dont sit right with me surely a better idea is  the police to employ these people who are doing this from there own homes as civilians to do it in a more controlled environment to stop would be peados destroying any evidence  if they get cold feet about meeting a kid

If a few more people decided to do something in Rotherham and many other cities, then the police would not have been able to turn a blind eye.

Didn't the locals re-elect the people that ignored it and tried to cover it up?

True and those that did try were made to look like liars people like the late Marlen Guest were proved right in the end.

Bit of a can o worms this is.I think they do a good job as long as they do it lawfully and in a way that doesn't jeopardise any future court case so handing over any info and assistance to help the police do their job is a good thing.Though it's frustrating that these people are doing what the police should be doing in the first place!!More specialist police needed maybe eh?

A guy in Ireland last year was wrongly identified on Facebook and was harassed and photographed in every town he visited. Turned out he was completely innocent and had similar appearance to a known peado. He ended up going to media to put a stop to it. Judge , jury and execution by over zealous facebook fans that hadn't got the true facts.

Hopefully, more people will see this for what it is and stop using Facebook as their one-stop for everything truth!

You sound like a sensible bloke. Nobody likes a pervert and fcuk them but nobody wants to destroy a man that isn't. It's more complicated than just black and white. We are all for outing the scum but occasionally an innocent man gets dragged in. Once they get labelled it is hard to shake off that tag. I would have empathy for the wrongly accused. Fair enough it's for the greater good but their lives are ruined for that privilege.

I'm out of likes so have a

I have nothing but contempt for these people and trial by social media has to stop but even with the legal avenues, there is too much emphasis on publicizing the accused before all the facts are assessed. It is the modern day witch hunt. Now I'm all for these paedo hunters when they do it in conjunction with law enforcement. They're filling a niche that nobody will fund. That's the greater good IMHO but there has to be due process.

The heavy drinking Irish culture years ago would have plenty to answer for. The Irish were very critical of English divorce laws and multiple partners but the stories of the creepy drunk uncle stuck up its head more often than not with the older people just saying the drink didn't suit him. A lot of stuff was wrongly covered up to prevent shame in the family.

Having done three decades in England's culture and another decade in practically tee-total Utah this isn't something that's confined to one type of community or culture. The creepy uncle factors in all of them. Wrong uns walk amongst us in all kinds of disguises and there are a lot of abuse cases that never even see law enforcement because of the f*ck*d up nature of how close the perpetrators are to their victims. Friends, families, churches, businesses... Many of them will keep a lid on these scandals and we will never know the true scale of just how many vulnerable kids are abused.

I'd like to see the percentages I bet it's more than 10 and closer to twenty the amount of sick twisted fcuks out there.

That's one I'll have to disagree with you on. I don't want to see the real number because I think it would make many of us ill. I'd say it's higher than that. When you look at how long this dirty b*****d was able to get away with his crimes. Molesting dozens if not hundreds of victims the true number is something that I don't think anyone would want to hear out loud.
