The one on my calf hurt like a b*****d. that's the thing really isn't it about tattoo's bud, where it hurts someone in a certain area, someone else can handle it, but for me, the ribs was the worst pain ever, also, around the nipples is a bit nifty as well, my mate had one on his back years ago, he struggled so much with the outline he's never been back to have it finished, i think one of the horrible parts of the tattoo is washing it in the hottest water you can handle to scrub it clean once it's been finished, it's a short lived pain 10 -15 seconds, but boy...does it smart.... downsouth 6,836
2yrs ago tomorrow I had a full day booked with a portrait specialist to do a piece on my back. The first 4 hours we went straight through as I was finding it surprisingly easy.A little uncomfortable in places but quite bearable.Just after 4 hours it started to get really unpleasant so we stopped for a break. When we started back I spent the next hour or so squeezing f**k out of the back of the chair, teeth clenched, eyes shut, sweating like a pig. When we finished the artist said I still had an hour so did I have anything else I wanted done so I had some filling in done on my arm which I normally have no trouble with.It was as much as I could do to keep my arm still on the table.Afterwards the tattooist reckoned that nearly everyone has a shut off point where the body goes F**k this and a much as you try to keep still it won't.
