ChrisJones 7,975
The nonce protector of Boston has died aged 86 in Rome. Cardinal Law resigned in 2002 after it emerged that he was more interested in hiding paedophile priests than addressing the concerns of the victims. He moved to the Vatican where he severely punished pastured out to another parish.

Have to agree, if there really was a God. He'd have nothing to do with the Catholic church. A very corrupt organisation imo which does more harm than good.
WILF 50,578
One of the top reasons I have nothing to do with organized church, I was christened catholic as were my kids, was a governor of a catholic school and luckily enough our priest was a lovely human being who had kids and grandkids of his own. He had joined the priesthood when his wife had passed away with cancer. However, since moving to ireland it has highlighted everything that’s rotten with that institution and I have completely disowned them. Dont mean I don’t believe, I do, I just don’t have to be in any particular club to do it. But organized religion, in particular The Catholic Church, Church of England and Islam.......they are disgusting !

I was even an altar boy, (but keep it quiet). I never brought my kids up Catholic. Organised religion always ends up becoming corrupt. If there is a God, I'm happy to meet him without belonging to any religion. 2
scothunter 12,609
We were brought up in a family where religion was never a thing. Never attended church or was told to believe in god. Guess they left it to us to make our own minds up about it.

Chaff 3,709
The sick twisted twats have just put up the age of consent in the Vatican from 12 to 14 I believe, and there's no females. How they get away with preaching about world poverty when they are sat on millions and do nothing.

jukel123 9,453
This allegedly happened in the 60s. So not that historical. Wicked. https://www.theguardian.com/society/2017/nov/28/boy-6-died-after-nun-kicked-him-in-head-care-home-inquiry-hears
WILF 50,578
Forget the scandal of the “care” homes over here and the hundreds of dead babies tossed into sewage pits......the straw that broke the camels back for me was a picture........ Now every town you visit here, no matter how small, has a f***ing great big church that would have been a cold fortune to build.....some have more than one. Now this picture I saw was of a lad about 10 working on the bog gathering turf(peat) and would have been from the 1930s...........the kid had no shoes on his feet. Now the church would have had massive power here back then and even the poorest would be getting tapped up to give every penny they could......in fact expected too and there them c**ts in palaces and kids with no shoes!! And I thought, nah mate you ain’t having me no more ya dirty c**ts.......it’s all a f***ing disgrace !
king 12,030
It's a good example how an organisation can brain wash the masses and make them believe story's for there own gain.and even perverted gain. And after all the story's of child abuse that's been going on for feck knows how long. People still look up to the church and turn up on a Sunday. Now That's what you call mass professonal brainwashing. At the start of Christianity when they started preaching to the masses.they must of thought this is a cracker we can extort as much cash and control over folk as we desire.in the name of God. It's probably the biggest brain washing scam that's ever been conceived to mankind.
