vet also does homeopathy

My first thought was "brilliant vet" and "homeopathy" is a contradiction in terms but perhaps in this case there's some sense to it.

Vets spend a lot of time putting animals down and as one would expect they don't like it. So when you said "put it down" he was reluctant, likely thinking a little more time may be all that is needed. Basically what's done is to double check the case and subtly persuaded you to give it that time.

So perhaps I may disagree with his methods perhaps not his intent.

Hope the bitch picks up.

Edit to add for those unsure exactly what homeopathy is see link

Or just google Dara O'Brien homeopathy video ?

My vet was in tears when I made the call, begged me to keep trying. Unfortunately, I wasn't letting my mate suffer anymore. I told him put the IV in and give me the syringe, I don't want my boy going out listening to fuucking skryking. Stayed with him until it was over and then had a good old cry with the vet and my mate. Never once saw a vet that emotional in UK! They're usually more eager for a dollar, than the welfare of the animals.

Socks you make whatever call you see fit mate and to fuuck with what anyone else says. It's your companion!

the youngster I have is getting plenty of work quite obviously as she is my main worker at the moment and so far hasn't put a foot wrong and is putting plenty of gear away ... if she has a fault it is that she is to keen and is a 100 miles an hour at everything she does .....

as for working dogs that work day in day out you don't need to tell me how much it takes out of them I live it everyday however I know my dogs you don't and if this bitch can be healed she wil work on for many years to come yet and if she can't then the inevitable will happen but when it happens I know I did everything for a dog that has paid my mortgage and fed my family for years and not just gave up on her at the first hurdle ... see bill that's the difference between me and you for all your posturing and big man talk you would fold at the first sign of trouble and put the dog down without trying I am different and I will keep on trying until there is no other option ... it goes to show how morraly weak and spineless you are ... when the going gets tough the true caliber of a man comes to the top and you are woefully lacking ...

you keep coming on here slagging everybody off and telling them how great you and your dogs are and I will carry on actually walking the walk and making a living from my dogs and looking after them the best I can ......

Might have read this wrong but was you not going to get the dog out down if the dog wasn’t getting down for free. If it had paid my mortgage bla bla it would have it’s rest of its days on the couch

Coincidence is not proof of causation. How many believed in toads and warts ?.

If an animal got better after likely a number of interventions plus time for the natural healing process the owners tends to thank the last intervention rather than the process.

Alas anyone who still believes in homeopathy after it has failed very thorough investigation and has now been discounted by pretty much every scientific/ medical establishment, that have no financial stake, is rather like King Canute holding back the tide.

So one must add  a quote from mr Feynman on science "the first principle is that you must not fool yourself - and you are the easiest person to fool".

Sandy everybody knows you hate homeopathy and I am well aware of the time laps self healing process etc and I still maintain where the conventional medicine failed the homeopathy worked .... a massive amount of modern medicines are derived from plants so homeopathy is linked with modern medicine.......
