I've got a trip wire connected to a 12 bore shotgun cartridge..but when the shot it tipped out and it's not encased in a chamber it's surprisingly quiet...not sure I'd hear it while I'm in bed (especially if I'd had a couple of beers and had my leg over). Just wondered if there was a cheap option. Something like a rape alarm where you pull a pin out and it gives a high pitched whistle, something I could add to my trip wire. I tried make my own they were not very good I bought propper alarm gun blanks and nearly deafend my self , the propper 12 g ones are the same as someone shooting a 12 g in back yard .
